Very true, I was mostly just joking. I wish I didn't have to worry about the oil pump these last couple years, but glad I kept an eye on it all this time as it hopefully saved my motor.
To lose the oil pump not under warranty is one thing, to lose a motor while not under warranty will be a much bigger headache.
If someone buys this car with no intentions of mods, I would strongly recommend an extended warranty for piece of mind. However the oil pump issue seems to be resolved on the newer ones, who knows what other issues could pop up like the one with the valve springs.
