One senior technician at the dealership exclusively works on my car, and he is incredibly meticulous and expert, so I want the car to remain stock and serviceable with him. I have a 7 year warranty through GM. You get the picture. Though I did install a catch can, ported throttle body, and the dealer installed the Borla cat-back.

Anyway, they took 3 weeks, with the tech taking his time, having parts shipped, etc. The pump replacement is perfect, no leaks.

I'm really happy to have done this, It fixed the one weak link in this otherwise incredible engine. I won't have to worry about the car shitting itself 800 miles from home.

With this oil pump replacement, I'm officially done with upgrades to my car. I'm just going to drive it on weekends and special road trips. It's a lifetime keeper.

I completely understand, what I meant was the cost itself wasn't outrageous considering the amount of labor, yet feels a lot for no actual improvement but only peace of mind.

We are not all alike, though, and I can understand and respect your decision, it's your forever Camaro after all
