So I finally found the directions to remove the interior door handle and not only is it a giant pain in the ass, but it's also a one time kind of deal (need to drill out part of it).

Has anyone tried dipping their interior door handles while still installed in the car? I think I can lift it, shove enough newspaper/plastic behind the handle to act as overspray protection and just go at it. Only part I'm not 100% sure about is the pivot point and how much spray I can get into that area.
