When I test drove the 1SS, I noticed the hood vents were just open to the engine bay. Txt'd a buddy with a gen5, he suggested I drop some water on the hood and see first hand what happens. So I asked the salesman for a small cup of water, then threw it on the hood and let it roll down into the vent. Lifted the hood, and I didn't really like where the water was going.

On my other cars that had factory hood "vents", there was provision to collect and drop it through a tube onto the ground. Chevy just drops the water right onto the air intake. Can't be a great option for someone leaving the car exposed to the elements, as well as driving it in bad weather.
