My friend the only reason a vacuum is pulled is to make sure it doesn't lift and it stays n place in the mould, squeeze multiple layers together, and to ensure the lightest and strongest part using the least amount of resin.
This process is skinning and has to be done on a complicated part that you don't want a taped on cover.
