Equal driver and tires, I'd put money on the ZL1 most any time. But that's the beauty of racing: the people who don't do it will likely get their butts turned inside out by some old dude in what SEEMS to be a clapped-out Miata. Who cares if "all things are equal" - that is only the case in benchmark racing, and the real test is the guy in the seat.

SS1LE may actually be "quicker" at many, while the ZLE (or any other higher hp car) will shine.

Found the guy that actually races.

Really? "They're special"? You realize how pompous and arrogant that sounds, right?

Great track video otherwise though, really shows how much better the zl1 is

And again, with more arrogance, as if since you spent at least $20000 more, you deserve the championship belt. To me, all this video shows is how much more the ZL1 costs and how little it can bring to the table if you're not as experienced. So to you I ask: where are your track videos showing you dominating SS 1LE's all of the time, or anything at all, really? Because if you have none, all you have is a very expensive fish story to tell about how "if I HAD to, I could probably totally maybe beat some cars that are clearly inferior to mine."
Before you ask,
here's MY cred, and I did this 8 years ago - getting points in a 370Z from a GT-R, a BMW M3, a Boxster, and what I believe was a 996 Turbo. All of which (save for the Boxster) should probably clean my clock.
I wonder how they felt about spending their small fortunes on their cars only to get beaten by a $29000 370Z...a special breed, indeed.
