I’m a GM tech at a dealer I’m well aware how our warranty system works. A cold air intake or any mod cannot void a powertrain warranty unless proven that it caused the problem. The powertrain consist of more than an engine. Correct, a supercharger can cause some problems to not be warrantied out, but that does not mean that the entire warranty is voided. Some dealers may try to deny a warranty because warranty pay sucks, they’d rather have customer pay times so they can make actual money. I just warrantied out an entire engine on a Corvette with an intake because guess what, it was not causing the issue. I’ve had Procharged Camaros come in and need a trans flush and guess what, they got the trans flush under warranty. Please research the the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. Btw I’m not selling it with an intact powertrain warranty, I am not providing a warranty. I am simply informing people of pre-existing warranty coverages. I never stated that the vehicle is 100% covered, I stated this is what GM warranties are still available.
