Soler Performance Fix for ZL1 M6

It's been a few years since I've had my last manual (funny enough it was a gen 5 Camaro), but I've been struggling with taking off in my new to me M6 car. I can find the friction zone relatively consistently, but the factory throttle tune is worthless.

First 1-2mm of pedal does absolutely nothing and then the next 1mm jumps the car to 1200-1500 RPMs unless you happen to slip the clutch a bit and drop it back down to 800-1000 RPMs. Super annoying for casual around the town driving when I'm not trying to attract everyone's attention within a half mile radius. On top of that, with the stock throttle tune, the ZL1 felt slower than my old C7 Z51 that had the throttle tuned because it took so much effort to get the car to actually give you all 650 horsepower.

Went with the Soler Performance throttle body and their throttle controller to fix these issues. These throttle bodies are a serious work of art. I'm seriously considering buying a second one just to use as a display piece on my desk. The edges are crisp and the porting is exceptionally smooth. The throttle controller was also a huge upgrade over the Vitesse I used to have in my gen 5. The display is far more modern and crisper and the bluetooth functionality means I don't need to mount the controller in an accessible location.

The throttle controller immediately fixed the 1-2mm of dead pedal and it offers out of the box a 1:1 pedal/throttle blade ratio that I had my last C7 tuned for specifically. I'm used to racing motorcycles where even modern ride-by-wire systems are 1:1 ratio. The first mm of throttle roll on provides the same amount of throttle as the last mm. I love the consistently for track use and hated how the ZL1 felt like a noisy SS unless you really got into the stock throttle. With the controller set on comfort 1, I get 100% predictable throttle and don't have to deal with voiding my warranty. Looking forward to getting the car out on the track once the 2022 season opens to see how it compared to my tuned C7 throttle, but on the street it feels very similar in both response and throttle blade opening.

The install for both were also very straightforward and had no issues with CEL or relearn procedures. I can't recommend a better combination and it wakes the ZL1 up so you can actually feel the 650 hp/tq.
