Smoked? LOL - The C7 ZR1 will not get smoked on a Road Course or drag strip to the new C8 Z06. On equal tires (Cup 2Rs), a C7 Z06 will most likely be equal to it on a Road Course. The drag strip is where the ME design shines, along with the DCT. But, even then, on equal tires, I think the C7 Z06 will be close to a C8 Z06.
The C8 Z06 is a beautiful car. Even in it's lightest trim, 1LZ with Z07 with Carbon Revolution Wheels, it will still be 3700 pounds. That is more about 80 pounds more than a 1ZR ZTK ZR1. I think the C8 Z06 is a really nice option to choose from over other brands that will cost significantly more.
