The single biggest issue for the C8 Z06 will be weight.
If the claimed 'dry' weight of 3450lbs of a Z07 w/full carbon doodads - is true, then adding another 150lbs of fuel would easily put it around 3600lbs give or take.
So a regular Z06 will probably be kissing around 3800lbs.
For a 2 seat sports car - anything over 3600lbs will be porky. Yes, they can make the car feel fast with shorter gearing but it remains to be seen how this car performs on track.
Even though my stock ZL1/1LE w/6mt weighs around 3860lbs, it has usable back seats for my kids as well. The LT4 thankfully has more torque as well which is still quite stout.
