Could be, I can't really say until I drive one. I have no doubt the torque curve is going to be different, just a matter of whether or not it provides enough torque to satisfy, coupled with a responsive transmission and gearing. Don't know if you've ever driven a Buick GN, but those had a unique feel due to the turbo lag and high boost. It was quite addicting once the boost started to build and it felt like you were rear ended by a high speed train once it got moving. Like you said, different feel but that rush of sudden power sure was addicting.
