C8Z definitely looks better than the stingray. Only color I really like in the base model is black because it hides how unbalanced the body itself looks as a whole. I don’t like the sound of the 5.5 or the torque. People that say torque doesn’t matter are smoking crack for a street car. When I want to roll into the throttle quarter throttle and the car doesn’t do anything because it needs to hit vtech is a problem. My modified C7Z will accelerate harder at half throttle than the C8Z will at full throttle. Also not sure about people commenting on how C7Z’s don’t hook. With in the vicinity of 1kwhp, mine rolls out fine from 50 on up with proper suspension, alignment and tires. I also don’t believe the C8Z will do 2.6 0-60 because GM goes after the magazine racers and post times with rollout. Stingray owners for the past year have been posting their 0-60 times thinking their car actually does high 2’s. The PDR is not accurate and Dragy proves that. C8Z surprised me looks wise. A little more of a fan now of the new platform. It is funny how the majority talk about what it does from a stop. The only people that worry about that are magazine readers and people that don’t make power. On the street, very seldom do you run from a stop. On the strip, everyone is hooking with a proper setup.
Note:I’m only comparing my C7 to the lack of torque that the C8Z makes. Torque gets you places easy without driving around sounding like a sport bike. I like that on the street. Chances are all the idiots will be riding your ass in a C8Z because at 5-6krpm, they will think you’re trying to race around. Car will attract all the sheep on the street.
