What should I do about this warranty situation (alternate vehicle)

So I took my Prius into the shop for warranty work. I have an extended warranty I paid for when I purchased. The issue is, I was receiving an error stating “Cooling performance of Hybrid Battery is low”. I took it to Toyota because no other local shop would touch a Hybrid battery. They told me it would actually be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. So the dealer didn’t use my extended warranty or charge me. My extended warranty of course has a deductible.

They repair my car and return it to me no charge. Well… about 2 weeks later I get a phone call with a voice mail and text from the dealer asking for my extended warranty information because they made a mistake and found out that the part and repair wasn’t covered by the standard warranty. I told them that the repair had to do with the cooling of the Hybrid Battery which heavily effects the powertrain. They stated the service tech likely made the same assumption and continued to ask for my extended warranty…

Should I provide them with that?
