If you want to be able to lock/unlock your car with your smartphone as well as monitor some of your vehicle parameters, then that feature is also linked to OnStar. I tried the smartphone locking and unlocking once(forgot something in the car and forgot to grab the remote) and it's really slow; it would take about the same amount of time for me to go grab the remote upstairs. Something to do with how OnStar remote locking and unlocking works. That's why I decided to skip out on it, but again, YMMV.

The auto crash response could be a literal lifesaver in some situations(a bad enough crash that renders you unconscious, for example), though I think some dashcams can also do that. Either way, the GPS location needs to be pulled for this feature to shine.
