I almost got a 2012 boss 302 instead of my 2016 Camaro SS. The SS is objectively a better car in every performance measure possible but I still sometimes wish I had acted faster and picked up the 2012 boss. It’s just a way more special car. Everyone keeps pointing out the transmission. While the mt82 is notoriously crappy, in my experience it’s hit or miss. I test drove 2 different mt82 cars (2011, 2017) before buying my camaro and both of them shifted great. My friend had a 2012 that he just sold with 200k miles on it and he never had any issues with his mt82. Even after he threw a cheap exedy clutch in it when it was time for one.
The boss will be more usable daily wise if that matters to you.
