Ceramic coating is formulated to bond to clear coat. Coating anything else isn't going to hurt anything, but it's not going to last.

This is exactly why I have shied away from doing ceramic on my vehicles. I had my motorcycle done because it sees far less water then my vehicles. What happens if you are stuck at work and it rains in the AM, then the sun beats on your vehicle the rest of the day? Is that an issue too or is it truly just things like sprinklers and the minerals in the water that cause the issue?
