I assume you are basing speed off gps and not speedometer? Right?

I imagine the shorter pirellis provided better wheel torque and faster acceleration at the cost of lowered speed in each gear when compared to the Michelin’s. The Michelin’s benefit would be potentially less need to grab the next gear. Does that sound about right? All in though, sounds like you still like Michelin’s over pirellis.

Btw, unsure if I missed it but what are your times compared to the mustangs?
I ran a 2.08 on ECR on Sunday. We were running in the CLOCKWISE direction which is 2-4 seconds SLOWER than the more traditional COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction. YES I was comparing GPS speeds.

I run a A10 tranny and in track mode I was hitting the limiter at 6500 in some of the corners when I was running the pirelli slicks. That wasnt happening with the MICHELINS. THAT to me was the main benefit along with the fact I am putting more RUBBER on the ground with the Michelins as they run WIDER than the Pirellis. (actual width is 306MM)
