I was getting a little higher top speed with those MICHELINS. The section width on the MICHELINS is a little wider so initially I was concerned about clearance on the front in regards to the STRUT. I am running a 5MM spacer on the front even with the Pirellis so although I am running CLOSER to the strut with the MICHELINS, there is adequate clearance there. WITHOUT poking the wheels outside the fender wheels, this is as wide as you are going to get on an SS . You ZL1 boys have a little more room.
On a side note, there were a pair on SHELBY mustangs at the track on Sunday, a 2017 and a 2019. They were running in the RED group (expert class) The 2019 was running 2.16's and the 2017 (His GF I believe was running 2.19's). That kind of demonstrates in my mind that in general the mustangs just arent as quick around a road course as the chevy boys.

So .7 taller equates to .35 closer to the strut. Glad it fits.
I assume you are basing speed off gps and not speedometer? Right?
I imagine the shorter pirellis provided better wheel torque and faster acceleration at the cost of lowered speed in each gear when compared to the Michelin’s. The Michelin’s benefit would be potentially less need to grab the next gear. Does that sound about right? All in though, sounds like you still like Michelin’s over pirellis.
Btw, unsure if I missed it but what are your times compared to the mustangs?
