It's particularly bad in the area you'd normally check for the presence of another car or motorcycle before changing lanes, but frankly, it's kinda bad in every direction - even forwards. The hood and front bumper are really high all the way to the front of the car, so the stretch of road in front of you that you can't see is much larger than most other vehicles. At least, it's worse than anything else I've experienced.

I've owned an S550 Mustang as well, and it suffers from this too, but not as badly. I had a Challenger as a rental once, and that was worse in front, but better to the rear and sides.

Other, more minor gripes I have with the car:
* The 20" wheels are silly. I wish 18s or 19s were standard.
* The trunk opening is comically small, despite that the trunk is actually fairly spacious, and it seems like they could have made the opening go down into the bumper another couple of inches.
* When you turn it off, it resets the drive mode to "tour." I wish it would just stay in whatever mode was selected before.
* The hill start assist is annoying. It lets go too easily and abruptly. Ford's programming of this is better, where it waits until it detects you're moving forward before letting go.
* I wish the skip shift feature was more insistent. It's too easy to override it and go to second instead of fourth gear, even when I don't really need to use second and third gear.
* The special unicorn blood oil it requires isn't sold in stores, so you have to mail order it.
* The center console storage cubby is ludicrously small, and there aren't even door pockets.
* You have to choose between "red hot" and "shock" yellow.

None of these things should be a deal breaker if you're buying this car for what it does well, but if you intend to use it every day, some of them will probably annoy you.

And this is why I love my convertible…once I dropped the top during the initial test ride, all those problems went away.
