Jeremy knows his stuff...6.5-7.5 is pretty common settings in the LT world. I have seen some tuners set them to 10 and it will still catch knock. As I have previously said in other threads, GM sets these engines up to live off the knock sensors. The LT engines are aggressively timed with over sensitive knock settings so they almost always will show KR even on pump 93.
