For anyone doing paperwork before the vehicle is at the dealer and inspected by you, isn't that a very risky move just to be able to track where the car is via OnStar (as that seems to be the reason people have given for doing this)? The car could have visible defects from the factory, get damaged in transit, etc and now aren't you on the hook for that vs the dealer? Not hating on anyone just curious what the incentive is to finalize paperwork before the car is there...especially if the warranty starts that day. I'd be doing a thorough inspection of the car (including underneath) before taking official "delivery", especially if the thing has sat in some yard for months.
