From what I have read, when you need to smog, you can put the stock tune back on the car (regular gas in the car, no mix of e), and drive the car until all the systems are ready to test. You should then be able to pass, and switch back to your e85 tune.

From what I have read, they are not testing if your car has ever been tuned. It is only if you are running a non stock, or non CARB tune at the time of testing.

If all your mods are easy to put back to stock, this is not a big deal. If you have visual failing mods, you will still fail (like LTs, missing cats, etc). If you have mods that require a tune, you will obviously not be able to run the stock tune and pass with the mods that require tunes.
