Looking at the claimed performance of the CT5-V Blackwing, what being 4 doors and heavier and all, I would think that the numbers ARE legit. But like you said, it will be interesting to see if it does add up in owner hands.
I do think 668 is a good number but it definitely is not enough to budge me. Especially since I just did a full build anyway. It should be enough tho to sway some to wait. And I do think it is good that GM FINALLY gave us a bump even if it is a minor one.
