OP, let me tell you the truth. The consensus after about 4 years is that the Recaro seats are superior, and if you don't like them, you can always sell them or swap them out for leather 2SS seats at or above the $1500 they cost you upfront, so don't be a chicken, tick that option box.
(I don't have the Recaro seats, by the way, I did sit in a few and they are more expensive to retrofit than what I can justify, so this isn't an owner trying to rationalize their expensive purchase.)
