True E85 is 109 octane. E70 is 105 octane. Most pump E85 is actually E70-E78 depending on location. There are actually a few pumps in my area that are E90. Most ignite products claiming 114 octane are E98 based.

Mixing E with 91 does yield 2 points lower octane opposed to mixing with 93.

E70 mixed with 93 to get E50 is 101.7 octane.

E70 mixed with 93 to get E40 is 100 octane.

Anything above E40 will provide good gains.
