Cleaned out the threads, little bit of engine oil on the threads, snugged the studs and made sure they were all installed the same depth in the block w a flat edge across the studs. 40 ft lbs, 80 ft lbs. set the torque wrench to 115 and noticed there was a hard spot in my wrench. Hmmm...doesn’t ARP specify the torque settings using their own thread lube? If you use plain old motor oil, the specs are not the same if memory serves.
