the pump with these cars aren't the issue. if you see yourself experiencing high oil pressure then save up your money and change the wires that connects to the oil pressure sensor and the one that goes to the oil pump which we all know controls by sending input to the oil pressure relief valve.
That’s usually the problem which is why I suggested to check the sensor wires. A few others had it chewed up by a belt. You had work done so I’m just guessing here, but the wiring was probably not put back properly by whoever did your work.
