This is a picture I took of Tim Kuniskis (black shirt) talking to Carl Widmann (GT500 Exec. Chief Engineer) at a press event before the 2019 Woodward Dream Cruise. I was talking to Tim before the two of them and Ed Piatek (C8 Chief Engineer) did a panel discussion. Tim told me that he considers electrification to be the new fuel injection. That’s almost a direct quote. He said it again during the panel discussion, so I think he was practicing the line on me
. His point is, when fuel injection first started to replace the carburetor, purists screamed bloody murder. Until it proved to be essential.
