This was never a problem on my '17 Camaro SS M6 or other SS 1LE cars that I saw at the track.
If you raise engine speed to 5k rpm and quickly release the clutch and increase throttle, you're saying you can't spin the tires? If so, either the cal changed significantly on the model year 20 cars or something is wrong with the car or your procedure.
