If you are not hitting a track, then 5W-30 Dexos is fine for street use.
As for Amsoil, I think they are fine but any name-brand synthetic oil is about as good. Also, Amsoil claims they meet a lot of standards, they just don't pay for them so they can't display the logo on the front of the oil bottles.
