Yeah, I know my warranty is long gone. My concern is just operating it generally, occasionally I take a long road trip in the ZLE and having an idea if my oil pump is one GM at least tried to improve upon after the initial round of failures, if they ever did at all. I had an oil pump fail on my 2005 GTO and I know what to do when the first signs show up that it is taking a dump. I’d rather have that happen closer to home if possible and am considering replacing it anyway. I am just curious if GM has made one or more efforts to change the pump, and if so, when.
