The fuel mileage loss is off set by the lower cost which still makes E cheaper to run.

Far as storing the car with E in the tank... By the time you go to store the car, most areas have switched to winter blend E which is around 65%. I haven't had any issues leaving Winter blend E in the tank while the car is stored inside. Now if we were talking about C85 or X98 from a drum, then yea you might want to dilute that a bit while storing the car.
