That means the rears are 2.9% taller than the fronts, and the rake is not reversed. That still may be too big a difference in diameter, though. The SS 1LE fitment is 26.7 and 27.2, for a 1.9% difference in height. I am getting away with a 2.7% difference in tire heights for autocross use (although the tires are shorter overall at 275/30/19 and 305/30/19).
As a general commentary, I will never understand why people insist on putting taller tires on performance cars. It's generally not good for handling or acceleration, and it can cause tire rub. Note that for the top-performing Camaro, the ZL1 1E, Chevy uses 19" wheels with significantly shorter tires than the SS 1LE.

I definitely agree with your general comment.
As to the first point, that is not what we, or at least not I, are implying, but rather this. You may have forgotten that we aren't talking about a 1LE here, just a regular SS, so OP's setup does invert the rake.
Code:
SS OP Me
front: 27.7" 27.6" 27.6"
rear: 27.6" 28.4" 27.4"
diff: +0.1" -0.8" +0.2"
(included my setup as illustration, needless to say, I don't have any problems with it)
