I don't know for sure, but it seems that every little performance part you throw into it, the PCM does not like it at all and throw some type of code. I know adding stuff for more air and fuel will change the way your b1s1 tells the pcm to either toggle lean or rich.

A tune will be able to disable codes and balance out what you put on it or replaced with better.
