I started noticing cars in the early 60s. One of the first highly anticipated new car arrivals I was aware of was the 1962 Grand Prix. I remember the greaser neighbors 63 Impala 409 convertible drag racing up my street while I was raking leaves with my dad. I remember standing in the back seat of my dads 58 Buick and getting passed by a beatnik biker on and Indian Scout. I asked my dad what it was... he said an Indian... I said... no it was just a guy with a beard.
I love boats cars bikes and planes. radial plane engines are the coolest engines Ive ever seen. I also love 80s Mercury 2 stroke boat engines and Yamaha 350s or Kawasaki 750s.
Needle Nose Peterbilts and Cat 1693 TA engines. P-51 Mustangs and even steam locomotives.
I can tell what car it is by seeing a glimpse of a quarter fender. I can tell what brand of big truck it is at night just by the way the lights are configured...
Maybe Im an enthusiast.
I had car and motorcycle magazine subs when I was 7. I still have many of those mags stored away. Even the adds turn me on.
I dont know.. maybe I am.
