To me it seems as though it’s purpose is redirecting more air to the CAI, I’m wondering if someone took that off would it be a big difference?

I ask this as I’ve learned that I don’t have mine and wanna see if $30 to buy it and taking the bumper off is worth to reinstall it

I found one of the first pictures of the engine bay I took when I got the car and it’s not there, have I been missing out on gains for years? I’ve been tuned without one as well so if I were to buy it and install I’d retune as well if it’s worth it
