The recommended street oil from a cold weather, warranty and fuel economy standpoint is Mobil 1 0w40 ESP Dexos 2, and after about 2 years since GM announced this it is still the most overpriced oil on the market. It makes no sense that you can't get this basic oil for less than $8.30/qt. This stuff should be ~$5/qt by now and available in 5 qt jugs at Walmart, but Mobil 1 has decided to screw all new Chevy performance car owners.

My car rarely sees cold enough weather or goes long enough between track events for me to put anything but M1 15w50 in it, but when I do use street oil I use Motul 8100 X-Clean 5W40. This is a Dexos 2 oil, and Motul is highly regarded for quality. You can get this for under $8/qt in 5L jugs on Amazon.
