How big is the hole?
www.bumperplugs.com has little paint-matched plugs you can buy if you buy a used car that had a front license plate, and your state doesn't require one. Website says hole can't be bigger than 9/32, but they say something about larger ones available for certain models. Maybe the can make you a larger one with your paint. I have them on my XT5 which I bought used and they are holding up well. Paint color is a prefect match.
