It depends on the type of driving you're doing and how you drive. I have the PS4S and I DD my ZL1. I have no issues with traction and that includes spirited driving, some decent light to light digs, some rolls, tight corners at decent speeds, etc. Am I launching it or mashing the gas pedal from a dig? No. But there are no issues when feathering the gas properly and feeling for the car and know when it will break loose and when it will stick and just how to drive it to keep it on that fine line. However some people drive in berserker mode...even light to light against those types I have no problems dusting them by just aplying light throttle and waiting for it to hook and then taking off. But the point is, if you're driving like that then I doubt ay tire would be good for street use and you should probably stick to the track and run DRs. But after a good amount of seat time and knowing how your car responds to throttle input you should not have an issue with the PS4S tires and spirited street use. For racing, yea you'll need something better.
For the record, my HC has 766 RWHP and I use cheap ass MuchoMacho tires on them at the stock 275 size. And it is a manual trans. I have no issues with that car and driving on the street with some decent takeoffs and rolls...like merging into the highway. I drive both cars in all conditions except for snow. And to be honest, it is more of a reflection of how you drive the car and how well you know and feel the car. I could add another 100 RWHP to my HC and keep these tires and I'll be fine. And I will likely keep the PS4S tires on my ZL1 after it is fully modded. But if I went to the track then that would be a different story.
