For a dealer to place an order that gets fulfilled they need to have allocation. Basically it means gm has to give them an order spot, if they don't they can't place an order or it will just sit at the 1100 status Joe has given you.
Largsr Allocation availability seems to be limited to the highest selling dealers these days with chip shortages ruining anything that requires computer processors. I tried to place an order myself and 3 different dealers in my state didn't have allocation and Joe himself had his used up.
Combine that with the plant shut down in Michigan its going to be hard getting a 21 made at this point imo and I've personally decided to wait for 22 orders to start. In my situation it might be a good thing as I've decided to go from a 3lt to a 2ss. The extra few months giving me time to save a little more money.
