Having claimed on this warranty before, find a really, really good shop to measure for you (preferably one which isn't a very close partner with Michelin & doesn't know the procedure). Michelin has some really crazy requirements that say the tread depth has to be exactly even across the whole tire & that it has to be almost bald at the deepest part of the tread. This is easily like 3-5k miles beyond what I'd consider safe to run on the street, so find a good shop which will fudge the numbers for you out of safety.

Exactly what I was about to say. read the fine print on the tire warranty, all sorts of loop holes. To get the 30K you have to rotate all 4 tires and they have to be the same size, otherwise its only 15K. And then its prorated.
The Conti ECS gets my vote for a great street and wet track tire.
