The dealer thing was from I think the OP. Somewhere up there a guys dealer said putting it in reverse turned of some parasitic electric drain.
My wife will get used to what ever. Shes a better driver than most guys I see.
For me, after the first 30 years of my working life mostly being spent driving big trucks... Im going to need to learn to leave a manual in gear. When I started trucking the diesels were all mechanical governors. It was feasible that if you left it in gear and it started to roll... that the engine would fire right up and run something over.
Sp I was trained to leave them in neutral.
