On my 2000 SS I have heads, cam, intake, and a 150 shot. It's been like that for about 7 years with no issues. I think it comes down to how often you would use the nitrous. Of course it will be harder on components for any given unit of actual time compared to boost, but for most that amount of time is far less with nitrous. Know what I mean? IMO a 150 shot vs say 10 lbs of boost will be less stress overall if you use it sparingly. I say this from personal experience given my situation vs some of my friends with boosted setups. And it goes without saying of course that everything is setup right from the tune, fuel, plugs, injectors, timing, etc...
