Get one older diesel, one on E85, one a propane conversion. If enough of the EV stuff gets forced, gas could be a burnt off waste product of refineries again.
The powers-that-shouldn't-be probably would do it, too. Thinking that they'll leave you alone for weekend joy rides is a mistake. Marie Antoinette might have been naive enough to say "Let them eat cake" with good intent. These folks... not a chance.
