Basically dude, all I can say is that whatever you do, do it for you. Don't do it for a paycheck, don't do it because its what your parents want you do to.

And if its what you want, go for it. Who care's if most of the people in the job are girls? I've had a male dental assistant before. He was a pretty cool guy.
