I will typically go through 3 batteries during a day of autocross. My phone will lose sync once. I find that if you're constantly reviewing videos it will suck the battery dry. Once I get out of the car after a run I shut the gopro off. It's been said a few times in here but make sure to turn the vibration reduction off or whatever its called.
