My comment as my personal observation that Ito me it read like a few were in that realm of entering into politics to me. Apparently many thought it was not, and in this current climate I can see that as well. It's fine, I have no concerns with that.

No offense taken, Brian Your observation is not unreasonable, it's just very difficult to keep a discussion like this completely neutral.
As long as it remains civil, however, I for one would much rather interact with people who express strong opinions either way than have a thread closed or removed. Especially given the large and often shifting gray area around what exactly constitutes "politics".
