I've been wondering where that cable on the post went to. Now I'm wondering if the issue is a bad/dirty/corroded connection at the block, and the extra cable we've been talking about is unnecessary. Although that existing cable does seem to be undersized. Maybe the real solution here is to replace it with a 1/0 or 2/0 AWG cable and forget messing with the second cable?
