Yeah, it will fold down. You just don't have the nice pull strap like the regular ZL1's. If you're in the trunk, just pull the little cloth flap down that's covering the latch assembly and you can actually push down on the latch sorta hard and it will "pop" and your seat will fold down. Once you do it once it's super easy.
As for the volume in the cabin discussion. YEAH, it's like 20-30 decibels louder in the cabin if you have the seat down. That thing blocks a lot of sound. I took my ZLE for a spin after installing the JRE 125whp setup and had the rear seat out and the trunk lining all pulled out and it was wicked loud (also had catless headers for this).
