So, 2 days ago, I pulled both sections of my rear seat out of the car to clean them.

I let me dog ride back there twice and it was covered with German Shepperd hair.

Well, I never got around to vacuuming and scrubbing over the past 2 days, but the weather this morning was gorgeous, if not cold (28 F).

So, I pulled her out of the garage and drove her to work, sans back seat components.

Wow, the exhaust sounds so much more aggressive while driving, when you don't have the rear seat back there.

I had no idea the materials in the seat provided so much noise dampening.

I probably won't have time to clean the seat until this weekend, so I will be enjoying the additional sound for 1 more day tomorrow.

Just thought I would share this. I mean, who knew the rear seat did so much to quiet the sound in the cabin?
